Honour your heritage and celebrate your love story in a cheongsam (qipao) made only for you. Our bespoke service is a collaboration between Bridal Fusion & Chambre, bringing your dream cheongsam to life through a fully custom silhouette, embroidery, fabric and colour.
How It Works:
1. Enquire with me (Steph)
Start by sharing your vision, timeline and budget through our contact form. There's no commitment at this stage, just a friendly conversation to see if bespoke is the right fit for you.
2. Meet Fiona
I'll personally connect you with Fiona, Chambre's creative director, for a one-on-one design consultation. Together you'll explore everything: silhouette and overall look, embroidery motifs, fabric and lace details, colour palette and any finishing touches that make it uniquely yours.
3. Say yes to your dream cheongsam
Once you're in love with the design, the Chambre team takes it from there. Every stitch is crafted to your exact measurements, style and heritage- a gown made entirely for your love story.

FAQs
What is Bridal Fusion's role in the bespoke process?
Bridal Fusion is your first point of contact. Steph handles all initial enquiries, helps you assess whether bespoke is right for you, and connects you directly with Fiona at Chambre. Think of Steph as your guide through the process from start to finish.
I've said yes (yay!) to a bespoke cheongsam - who do I contact from here?
Congratulations! Once you're confirmed, Fiona and the Chambre team will look after you every step of the way through design, fittings and production.
How far in advance should I enquire?
We recommend getting in touch at least 9–12 months before your wedding date to allow enough time for the design consultation, production (6–9 months), and any final adjustments.
Is there a deposit required to get started?
Deposit and payment terms are arranged directly with Chambre following your design consultation.
How much does a bespoke cheongsam cost?
Typically, I'd say between NZD $1,000 - 2,000. Pricing depends on the complexity of the design, fabric choice, and embroidery detail. Every gown is unique, Chambre will provide a custom quote after your design consultation with Fiona.
Can I incorporate cultural or family elements into my design?
Absolutely - this is one of the most meaningful parts of the bespoke process. Whether it's a specific embroidery motif, a fabric that honours your heritage, or colours significant to your family, Fiona will work with you to weave those details into your gown.
Do I need to be based in New Zealand?
No. Bespoke enquiries are welcome from anywhere in New Zealand and internationally. The design consultation can be held remotely, and Chambre offers international shipping.
What if I want to make changes after the design is confirmed?
Minor tweaks during the early design stage are generally accommodated. Once production begins, significant changes may not be possible, so it's important to take your time during the consultation phase to get every detail right.
Will I receive a sketch of my gown before production begins?
Yes, you'll receive a sketch and technical pack outlining your gown design before production starts, so you can see exactly what's being made for you.
